- 9:15 Welcome to the Department of Animal Science! - Dr. Ron Butler, Animal Science Department Chair
- 9:30-10:15 “Ready, SET, Go!! Get Some SET in Your 4-H Pogram!!”- Kelly Radzik – Cornell University Cooperative Extension Educator, Columbia County
- 10:15-10:30 BREAK – Take some time and visit the Resource Room - 154
- 10:30-11:30 “Horse Judging Made Easy” - April Winslow – NYS 4-H Horse Program Horse Judging Chair, CCE of Madison County, and the Department of Animal Science at Cornell University
- 11:30-12:15 “Through the Horses’ Eyes”© - Dawn Samuelson, Bemus Point, NY
- 12:15-1:00 LUNCH - “Munch and Mingle Time!”
- 1:00-1:45 “Share Time” - CCE Educators, staff, volunteers, leaders, and teen leaders are all encouraged to bring an idea, a project, a program or something that you think would be of benefit and would like to share with the whole group. Bring items for a “Show and Tell” concept - make copies to be handed out if appropriate. Please keep presentations to 2-3 minutes, due to time limitations. You will have time to give the basic idea – people can search you out later for additional information if they wish to.
- 1:45-4:00 At this time we will all move to the Livestock
Pavilion for the afternoon sessions. The participants will be broken into 3 groups that will rotate thru:
- “The Round Pen”
- “The Obstacle Course”
- “What is Your Coat?”
- 2:00-2:30 Rotation 1
- 2:30-2:45 BREAK.
- 2:45-3:15 Rotation 2
- 3:15-3:45 Rotation 3
- 3:45-4:00 Quick Wrap-up
