PRO-DAIRY's Dairy Profit Monitor Program
Current Responsibilities and Interests:Kyle Getty is a Research Support Specialist with the PRO-DAIRY program at Cornell University. Kyle began working for Pro-Dairy after completing his B.S. in Animal Sciences from Cornell University in May of 2007.
His primary area of focus is on the Dairy Profit Monitor Program, an online tool that was developed in collaboration with Cargill. Working with producers and agribusiness personnel, the Dairy Profit Monitor is used to provide a current snapshot of a dairies operating performance, with a benchmarking component included. In addition he has helped develop and facilitate producer focused, business discussion groups throughout New York State.
Prior to coming to Pro-Dairy, Kyle had internships with Ideal Dairy Farms, of Hudson Falls, NY and Upper Valley Holsteins, of Austin, Colorado, where he gained experience working in a variety of areas of the farm business. Prior to his senior year of college Kyle interned with Cargill Animal Nutrition, in the Yakima Valley region of Washington state, where he was exposed to a diverse range of dairy entities.
