Scrapie rules

The scrapie eartagging rules for animals moved (sold, given away, or moved for another reason) from your farm are simple:

  1. All animals older than 18 months of age must be eartagged with official eartags.
  2. All animals under 18 months of age must be eartagged with official eartags unless they are going directly to slaughter.
  3. Eartag records must be maintained for 5 years.
